Data controller

The association HORIZONS FAZENDA, 56 rue Coriolis, 75012 Paris, France (RNA W751284529), is responsible for the data collected on this website. For any question, write to contact@horizonsfazenda.org.

Data we collect

When you make a donation, we collect:

  • your identity: first and last name or, for a company, its name, legal form and SIREN number;
  • your postal address and e-mail address;
  • the amount, date and frequency of your donations, as well as the payment references held by Stripe.

We need this information to issue your tax receipt, except for the optional second address line. Without it, we cannot record your donation. Your bank details are entered directly with Stripe: the association never has access to them. The website uses no audience measurement or advertising tools.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Issuing your tax receipt and keeping the supporting documents the tax authorities may request: legal obligation (articles 200 and 238 bis of the French General Tax Code, article L. 102 E of the French Tax Procedure Code).
  • Receiving and managing your donations, including monthly donations, and sending you the related e-mails (receipt, confirmation, annual summary): the association’s legitimate interest in managing the donations it receives.

We do not send newsletters and we do not pass your data on to anyone.

Recipients

Only the authorised members of the association’s executive committee (bureau) have access to your data, as well as our service providers, who act on our instructions:

  • Stripe Payments Europe, Limited (Ireland): online payment;
  • Vercel Inc. (United States): website hosting;
  • Neon, part of Databricks, Inc. (United States): database, hosted in Frankfurt (Germany);
  • Sendinblue SAS, “Brevo” (France): sending e-mails;
  • Forward Email LLC (United States): receiving messages sent to contact@horizonsfazenda.org and to dons@horizonsfazenda.org, which are forwarded to the mailbox of the association’s president.

Stripe also processes some data for its own legal obligations and to prevent fraud.

Where data may be processed from the United States, this transfer is covered by the safeguards in these providers’ data processing agreements (standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission, or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). You can obtain a copy by writing to us.

Retention period

Data related to a donation and copies of tax receipts are kept for 6 years from the issue of the receipt, as required by article L. 102 E of the French Tax Procedure Code, and then deleted one month later. For monthly donations, the period runs from the date of each annual receipt. Stripe keeps payment data in accordance with its own legal obligations.

Your rights

You may access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its processing or, where applicable, ask for its portability, by writing to contact@horizonsfazenda.org. Tax receipts already issued must however be kept for the legal period. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

Cookies

The website sets no audience measurement or advertising cookies. When you open the donation form, Stripe may set cookies needed for payment security and fraud prevention, which do not require consent.
